The Yahoo editorial design team needed a designer to jump in and create content page images for sub-categories on Yahoo Life. They were at full bandwidth with their own designers and needed to utilize a cross-partner team. Having experience working closely with the Yahoo brand, I quickly jumped in and created these images to live at the top of the content pages.
The Yahoo editorial team was my client. While technically internal, they are treated the same as an external client.
I was able to quickly turnaround three header images that only had one round of feedback. I studied the content living on the pages to ensure that the images represented the articles surrounding them. I included a flat style illustration seen throughout the Yahoo branding.
